firsTraveler
I keep getting CTDs when I save. I've done the large-address thing, I added the multicore treading to the fallout.ini file. I always save to a unique name useing the console save command. And I've turned off all three auto saves. Is the parameter: iSaveGameBackupCount=1 changeable? Would setting it to 0 stop overwrites? Would setting it to zero help or hurt? I was told on Steam that the crash is caused by loading from a corrupt save. Are there any save cleaners like the one for Skyrim? Would using purge cell (pcb command) before saving help? I love playing this game, but the save issue has always been so agrevating. Purr4me
you have a plugin that is not referencing data correctly, out of order, or the load order is wrong when loaded. Long winded ,yeah, sort of.Post a load order 1rst. what I want you to post it from is the Fomm's saved game menu export function. in the view window of fomm saved game manager, click the very last saved game, now clock the export button, save it to desk top. open that copy and past it here. I bet, it's all wrong. If it is close as possible to a normal load out ,then one of these mods, IF any , have not been done right or is corrupted. this happens a lot. Chances are, if you can traverse into and out of cells, ....exterior to interior, and back out? and not crash, well it's not the games settings, it's a bad mod./ corrupted or incomplete. kitty
firsTraveler
So it has to be something that is running scripts if I understand you. It's not being caused by a simple texture/mesh mod being to big, or a mod that adds a new or changed static to the environment? I have A world of Pain, Dynamic Weather, and Mutant Mod installed. Those are the only mods I have that change the world as a whol;e as opposed to a specific location.
Purr4me
ok,but what is the order of execution of these when the game is running, this will effect what your having problems with. yes, you understood me perfectly. How ever, some mesh files ,not in this bunch, but in other mods can and will cause this effect, let me get you a text read out of the data involved of all of these and I will post them into a spoiler for you. firsTraveler
Well I think I solved it. I deactivated all the plugins and reactivated them one by one. I ended up having to not use 4. I'm not going to post their names because I don't want to start a flame war. But I will say that all of them have many endorsements and I didn't see any negative posts when I checked their fourems. I also need your load order as well. Just put em all into a text file, zip em up and send em to me, or link to pastebin.com and provide a link. Even IF they are ours, it does not matter. ,many things have changed over time so the software can get messed up and it's nobodies fault. If you keep an open mind and relies, downloads do and can get messed up, this can be the source. the 4 files in question? these have as all files have (CRC), it is a BOSS signature of the files them selves. I do need that info as seen in your set up, not mine. WHY? because if the CRC is incorrect, then the file size is not the same as intended. If so, this Eliminates any possible "( Flame war) " from happening. we use Boss to verify file integrity. I will tell you some mods edited with later tools exhibit bad results against the old TES4 formatted edits. Not to worry. will be discrete. Just need to isolate possible download locations, if these files indeed have the wrong (CRC) data/size, then I can contact the authors and have them make a mirror for them to test the packaging. Not many big mods are being updated. No secrets that downloads here are getting thrashed due to server upsets. besides. BOSS needs to know the exact issues with them.kitty.
