Issues Importing Extracted 'Palworld' Assets into Unreal Engine for Mod Development

Recommended Posts

Greetings fellow mod developers,

I'm seeking assistance with a technical challenge I've encountered in the modding process. Using UnrealPak, I've managed to extract the full suite of assets from "Palworld." Yet, when I migrate specific assets – for instance, Content\Pal\Model\Character\Player\Body\Female\SK_Player_Female.uasset – into the corresponding Content directory of my Unreal Engine project, the engine fails to recognize them.

This issue persists across multiple versions of the engine, including the latest release and version 1.1.1. These assets are not populating in the Content Browser, thwarting all attempts at modification for mod creation.

I'm at an impasse. If we're unable to view or manipulate these assets within Unreal Engine's environment, the path to modding becomes quite obscure.

Are there others who have navigated this issue successfully? What strategies have you employed to import and adapt game assets effectively within Unreal Engine?

Your expertise and advice would be greatly valued in resolving this matter.

Thanks!
