Trouble shooting ideas.......CTD in Solitude

Hello, I am following a LO guide here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2944593951

I am all the way down to the Campfire & Sunhelm sectionj. I used alternate start and began my testing in Riften, as I read it is good problem area for testing. I had been fixing any seen issues as I progressed, testing in game as instructed.

Everything is running rock solid for FPS, etc. After loading CRF I ran to Helgarden to verify it worked and all was good. Once I made it to the campfire section I had downloaded a mod/mods for the carriage transporters, so I wanted to see if their dialogue changed and they camped, etc. So, I hired the one outside of Riften to take me to Markarth. No problems. The driver has an updated dialogue and went on to camping outside the city.

I ran around Markarth testing with no problems so decided to hire them again to go to Solitude. When entering the city they are carrying out the execution for the guard that left Ulfric go. It matters not if I stay and watch it to let all that load, the execution.

I go past the market and under that arch way next to the market to go towards the residential area and my game CTDs every time I am coming out of the archway.

I, for several hours now, have been disabling the mods I downloaded in reverse order and returning to game to test that area. All through testing each section, I have done saves. Also when I started in Riften at the inn, upon leaving the inn to go outside into town, I did a like 8 plus saves before starting to download more mods. This is how I began the guide in case I needed to go to saves before mods, well up to alternate start of course.

As I have progressed through troubleshooting disabling the mods, I have also been deleting the saves so when I start I get no message such and such is not installed now. I thought I missed a patch between RDO and GDO and maybe one for CRF, but now I am far past those downloads being disabled and the CTD is still happening at exactly the same spot.

Now I am clear back up to the lighting section for elfx, etc and still have the CTD. I read online about using a .net script framework mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21294 to generate a crash log to tell which mod is doing it, but that mod is not updated for my game version, which is the latest with AE installed.

Would anyone have any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this CTD OR know of a fix? Thank you!

Crash Logger ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59818 ), and Trainwreck ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/106440 ) are both crash loggers that will run under the latest Skyrim.  Crash Log Analyzer ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/89860 ) helps to parse the Crash Logger reports, and highlight problems.

Great, thank you. I will look into them and see if I can figure out how to use them. Newb here, lol.

For an update: After disabling more mods I am now before installing SkyUI from the guide. Still get CTD in same spot, but this time afterwards I returned in game, went back to Solitude and after entering the city tried to enter the tavern and got a CTD. Not sure if that sheds more light on the issue or not.

Not knowing any of those I decided to use the Crash Log Analyzer. It shows the link for me to use a MM download but instructions say manual download and unzip to SKSE folder. Of which I did and then tried to launch the exe. Nothing happened. I go to posts for the mod and it tells me I need https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59818?tab=description for it to work. I go there but I see no instructions on how to download it or use it. So, I download it with the MM link. I install it, return to the SKSE folder and launch the exe. Nothing. I go in game and return to solitude to get the ctd. Return to the skse folder and run the exe. Nothing happens again.

How do I use these tools? The instruction on the CLA says it should generate a .txt file after running exe, but nothing shows up. Thank you

Nine plus hours and around 140 mods disabled individually testing I finally found this m@$#^@# F@!$#! It was clear in the beginning of the guide in Fixes:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/62413?tab=description
Upon disabling it the CTD is gone, activate and it is back. In the posts https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/62413?tab=posts a few down in the start, they talk about a fix, but this was well before the last update on it. Therefore, I am not sure if it is applicable.

Beyond that, I have no idea what they are talking about doing to make the fix work. If anyone thinks this is applicable, will you spell the steps out for me as a newb? Thank you!

Sorry, Indio, I thought that stating that CLA 'helps to parse' Crash Logger reports would be enough to tell you that it only works with Crash Logger.  Install the Crash Logger first, THEN install CLA.  I made a shortcut to CLA on my desktop once installed, along with a shortcut to the SKSE folder in ...Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE.  Then all I have to do after a crash is to double-click on the CLA shortcut, then open the SKSE folder shortcut.  Since I have the SKSE folder view arranged in descending Time Modified order, the CLA report and the crash log both appear at the top.

Re: the fix you cited - it included references to NetScriptFramework, which hasn't worked since SE v. 1.5.97.  Just get the crash logger installed, if nothing else, so you get a working crash log for future problems.
