Unionhack Posted January 28, 2024 Share Posted January 28, 2024 Title. I've been a fan of these games since I was young, and Minsc has been one of my favorite characters since then as well. I'm delighted with his portrayal in 3, but I am a bit bummed that he's only available in act 3 onwards. I'd love to be able to slot him into my party right after getting Withers, and suspend disbelief with him as a hireling up until I actually acquire him in the third act. I've looked at mods to simulate this, but nothing quite sticks. Using the ring of metamorph mod on a customized Hireling is CLOSE, but doesn't copy over Minsc's voice lines for selection and combat, which robs him of a lot of his charm. I'd even settle for not being able to use Boo, but the voice is definitely critical. Wanted to know if this was a possibility, since I know as an actual implemented party member he'd be a bit harder to wrangle. Still, wanted to shoot my shot regardless.
