XymXymy
Hi, today I initialized a new SSD Drive, especially for games'n'stuff. I completely reinstaled steam and Skyrim SE to a new drive. I only instaled MO2 and Skse from silverlock (Current Anniversary Edition build 2.2.6 (game version 1.6.1170)). I did normal configuration of both, and while I run "skse64_loader" through MO2 (option "start without steam") it runs. But. It runs skyrim.exe, then steam starts to load. And finaly I got normal Skyrim SE launcher on my screen. I'was modding skyrim before, never ever had this issue. What's wrong? Why does the MO2 starts steam and skyrim like normal? 7531Leonidas
IDK, but if you click directly on the SKSE64_loader w/o starting Steam, then it runs the standard Steam initialization, as if SKSE were not running, which allowed auto updates to occur. I understand that the same thing happens if the SKSE loader is set up as a tool in Vortex, and started w/o Steam already running. TL;DR - try starting Steam 1st, then run the SKSE loader through MO2? XymXymy
Yeah, was trying this one. While Steam was running in the background I started the game throug skse64_loader. Then It was working. What I want to achieve is to run skyrim through MO2 with skse64_loader without starting steam. It was working like 3 days ago. Idk what happened (ok, 1.6.1170 but still. Didnt had a similar problem after december update)
XymXymy
Ok, so I'm still looking for the answer. Anyway I can play with mods enabled if steam is running in the background. Skse64 loads normally a few mods that I got. A small problem I see for now is that steam recognizes modded skyrim which probably will be troublesome in the future as bugthesda updates the game from time to time. Question is: Why skse64_loader is starting steam? (even if I choose "Continue without steam") Edited February 8, 2024 by RamyunEater
