Are you high?

I don't see what you are talking about.

I know a lot of games use texture layers to boof frame rates along with LOD.

Then a lot of screenshot programs don't actually take a picture of what is being rendered.

It could just be the system not being catched up yet.

A lot of times running you get the first layer low LOD textures.

Is this a problem with the megaton home textures?

Just wondering

Oh yeah

I almost forgot

This isen't a big problem, but it's very annoying when you run at random places and everything switch from dark, light, lighter ALL THE FU***** TIME! :wallbash:

And no, I don't get high on saturdays

BUMP

hmmmmmm

Well, it's a tough problem.

I kind of get the idea I think.

First thing I'd probably do is the game settings

There's the settings in the fallout3.exe launcher

then the in game settings, an the notepad files

http://www.tweakguides.com/Fallout3_8.html

The tweek guide above is a little outdates

but still the writer goes into good detail about

what the technomumbojumbo means. Plus

there is a lot of stuff you can turn down from max

to almost half way without even noticing it.

Second thing we should probably think about

besides updating grapics drivers an all that

is what mods you use. Are there any that you know

of that change the lighting. I know I have a few

that change lighting but I got them for other reasons

some of them change weather, change buildings,

or stuff like fellout. Plus there are probably a few

that I just don't know about.

something else which I don't really know about

is the textures. Did you use any of the texture packs

like changing things to high res or higher than vanilla res.

Maybe somewhere in there is cluter textures or ground textures

that somehow have a conflict going on between two versions

on light one dark, which cause a flashing like switch between the two

It's probably not likely but could happen.

It would be bad, but you could also figure out how to take your

save game files and put them outside the directory an uninstall

then start over Putting the save games back in later on. Kind of

dangerous though, as they might not work later on. Which if it really

bothered you bad, you might could overlook that. I've lost a lot of save

games, having to start over, what I do is keep the tab of how many

bottle caps I have running, as to not make it so bad starting over.

Like the first game I got around 5,000 caps, then started over

so I did the cheat to add 5,000 caps when I started over.

Many startovers later I have like 20,000 caps, it's terible...

I hope it's just something small like a game setting or texture conflict.

:D Good lucks
