Script extender and hotfix 19

I've noticed people in various places online saying that hotfix 19 allowed them to use the script extender again, however when I attempt this I still get the same error I was having before. (see attached image)

It also states on github that the script extender is supported by patch 6 and hotfix 19.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I have reinstalled the game and added no mods whatsoever other than the script extender dll itself.

Am I missing something obvious??

Thanks for any help you might be able to give!

UPDATE:

After some further searching I managed to find a post on github with the solution (From user KoticR):

Might be worth a try to rename or delete the 'BG3ScriptExtender' folder inside your Local AppData folder (eg. C:\Users\username\AppData\Local). This will regenerate the folder when the game is launched and download the latest version.

I don't know why it happens but the download/update seems to fail sometimes. I can confirm that the latest version works with the latest Hotfix (19).

This worked a treat for me. I did as instructed, removed the DWrite.dll from the bin folder and then used mod manager to install the script extender again et voila! it works!

Leaving this up in case it helps someone else.
