Bebesop
Can anyone help me please, i’ve recently installed a mod to improve performance in interiors (i had a lot of fps loss and stuttering in my houses), and while it works amazing and has everything running soft and smooth, it broke my shield racks (wall plaques). Before i installed the mod, my shields were hung up just fine. Weapon plaques are working, single ones and left/right weapon ones. But the shield ones either don’t have an interaction or if they have, the shield doesn’t attach to it (yes i have it equipped). Disabeling the mod didn’t fix this, and its not just in homes like Elysium, its also the vanilla houses, and any dungeon that happens to have a shield plaque. Anyone able to help me out? The mod is Skyrim Project Optimization SE, and i have posted a bug report there.
greyday01
Try watching some creation kit shield rack tutorials. It might be a positioning problem for the activators that the racks need. Check that the activators aren't at 0 degrees rotation and that they are out a ways from the wall so you are able to activate them with your mouse. Those are some of the most common problems. Try fiddling with one non-working display and seeing if you can fix it. If it is with ALL the displays it might be too much of a problem to manually fix them all. If so can only suggest looking for a different mod or waiting for a fix from the author.
AaronOfMpls
Does the mod add any loose files? Because if they're still in your Data folder, the game might still be loading them -- especially if they're named and pathed the same as original files in the vanilla or DLC .bsa's. Yeah i was looking at the creation kit, hopefully i can understand it xD it is indeed with all shield plaques, inside my houses (mod additions and vanilla houses) and also in dungeons, the ones usually habited by bandits or so, that also have shield/weapon racks. The dungeon ones i cant even take the shield off the plaque, its merged, as if part of the decor. And its just shields; weapon racks, displays and wall plaques work fine. So, idk if the creation kit can fix it, I fear ill have to watch out for the mod author. Thank you

Is there a simple way to check this? I use Steam and Vortex, already got lost trying to find specific folders…
AaronOfMpls
Look inside the zip/7z/rar file, maybe? Then search for the files within your Data folder. (No idea on anything within Vortex, since I've never used Vortex.*) * I use Mod Organizer, which keeps mods in their own separate folders outside my data folder -- then kinda tricks the game into "thinking" they're in Data when launching it through MO. Thus all I'd have to do is disable the mod in MO's left pane, so MO doesn't present those files to the game anymore.
