frosty mod manager "value was either too large or small for an unsigned byte"

as of recent when trying to patch in mods i get an error that says "

Value was either too large or too small for an unsigned byte.

its never done this before and only doing it now ive tried with one mod reinstalling it etc and it wont work the version is 1.0.7.0 as this is the only one ive found to work for NFS unbound as something like 1.0.6.3 doesnt work for me anyone know why this is happening and how i could fix it? at this point im stumped and frustrated

I had this issue too. As I get my steam game directory was assigned C:\ProgramFiles(86x). I changed directory to C:\ProgramFiles. And now i can download mods. If this method will help you it will be great.

I have my game and frost on the same drive i.e. D drive and no matter what if i add any mod i get the error and if i remove the mods and launch the game using frosty it works perfectly as intended and i have also reinstalled my game a couple of times and still no change
