Star Trek Bridge Commander Mods

Hi All, I'm VERY new to all this Mod stuff and need some help please!

I managed to install the great Legacy mod and it worked perfectly giving me some great ships, but I wanted to fight the borg so looked at the Delta Quadrant pack which required by to get BCUT and Kobmaru as well.

 

Now, I am sure I'm following what it tells me to do, but once all is done, I cant play the game. I get a black screen with a star trek mouse cursor and nothing else. I even tried just going as far as installing the KOBMARU mod, as well as BCUT (not installing legacy) all from scratch and getting the same issues, it either says I can't play full screen (i changed this in the compatibility option to stop that but I still get the error. What could I be doing wrong?
