Dragons Dogma 2 TRUE Warfare

SO Hideo literally gave us style switching in DD2 with warfare, you can equip every weapon and use them all HOWEVER you are limited to 3 skills (4th skill will be the weapon switching skill "Rearm") and you can ONLY use those skills if you have that weapon equipped. I would like a someone to tackle Warfare and make it so that when switching classes they get skills based on what they had before changing to warfare, obviously when warfare is equipped, the only way you can change classes it will take up 1 slot and maybe when changing classes it overwrites that skill slot instead? But anyways, if anyone is willing to help this become a reality, feel free to do so. Much thanks for reading it till the end.

I have absolutely 0 modding experience or skill, but i really hope some great people will create a mod like this! I was so sad when i heared you can only use 3 skills in this class, that is so lame. I was hoping for 3 weapons with 3 skills each. Would have been soo cool 😕

Was doing research on warfarer and when I saw this class previewed I was like “whoa theres a class that allows me to use all the cool skills and weapons I unlocked and style switch like DMC!?” I was pumped, now i see that it’s only 3 abilities with no master skills and it just seems lame.

concept:

Allow warfarer to simply switch to the weapon and use it as if it was the base class using it (like OP states just have it remember the class set up like it was previously). So each time you equip the weapon you get 3 skills (accounting for the weapon switch) or the weapon switch is on its own dedicated button like dodge for thief and you get all 4 skills as a result. Also let me have the maister skills, I worked for them so let me use them.

as for balancing terms I don't get the point. These are all skills and items acquired over the player’s journey. I thought warfarer was going to be a “‘master class” combining everything the arisen has learned into one with lower stats that can do everything. Just give me all my tools on my class that gets all the tools. Why restrict the fun for the sake of balance in a mainly single player game? I guess it makes it the only option if it’s too good, but idk people switch their vocations all the time when they invest time into DD, this vocation is supposed to embody that vocation switching master.

I get why people are hyped about Dragon’s Dogma 2! The idea of TRUE warfare in a game like this sounds super exciting. If they lean into the strategy and teamwork aspects, it could make the combat feel so much more immersive. The first game already had a great foundation with the pawn system, so if they expand on that and add deeper AI mechanics or battlefield strategies, it could be at the next level.

Also, I’m hoping for more significant, detailed areas where battles feel alive, with dynamic events and NPCs reacting to the fight. If you’re looking for updates or want to discuss the game with others, check out Kernaim.to . It’s an excellent spot for gaming fans.
