Witcher 3 Invisble armor?

Hello,

 

Does anyone know how to go about to make a  mod that would make Geralts (Chest & Arm) Armor invisble? Some sort of overlay, that would let you wear the armor and benefit from the perks, but give the illusion that  he is not.

I have no clue on modding, so what way to go about it? I imagine you would have to blank out the graphic files for those parts i.e. replace them with blanks.
