Necronican
Imma just copy this from my Reddit since nexus forums are more active. So I had F4SE on my other computer, and still do. I played modded FO4 for a few years and a few days ago I decided to get me a new PC. I'm now using said new PC- and my F4SE keeps crashing a few seconds after launch. It pops up, I see the opening cut scene where it says 'please wait' and the others, but it Crashed To Desktop almost approximately 3 to 5 seconds after initially opening the game. This is not an issue I have with F4SE exclusively, as it is also happening for my Steam client, where i launch through steam and it also CTD at the same time frame as the F4SE. Solutions I have TRIED but did not work: -Reinstalling game (3 times, final time on the secondary SSD, to get it away from program files and windows defender) -Reinstalling mods (same amount of times, last time I moved the mods into the accompanying secondary drive next to main game) -Windowed and Borderless modes -Gun Debris disabled -Vortex/MO2 both seem to have this issue -Reinstalled F4SE multiple times, including overwriting and replacing the F4SE files a few more times with different F4SE versions, before returning to current F4SE standard -Restarting PC multiple times -Swapped out 4k monitor for older 1080p ASUS monitor (it was popping up using only 1/3rd the 4k screen half the time) -Validated steam files, every other game seemed to work fine including Arma 3, WARNO, HOI4, COD:WAW, and SCP 5K. It is not an issue with computer capability since it can run these other games with no CTD or freezing/seizing. -Turned off mods, disabled mods, deleted mods, mods are not the issue. I'm starting to get really pissed off at this whole situation, as one of the main reasons I sunk multi-thousands of dollars into buying a new PC was purely to run a 4K ultra modded FO4 game. EDIT 1 : I have redone the process of manually deleting everything, and since I now have fallout4 on an additional SSD rather than the main (D instead of C), also found the old files in the main SSD and deleted them. So far, upon fresh reboot I have been able to start up the game through steam and get into the game, and I have been able to do so via F4SE with no mods. I will now enable my mods via vortex and try it out. EDIT 2: I installed and enabled 75 mods, and now F4SE is back to f*#@ing up again. I disabled them and manually deleted them, and it still messes up- including regular fallout. Fallout launcher itself runs fine, but whenever the f4se executable or the actual fallout game is ran, they will last 3 seconds into the opening cutscene(s) before CTD.
