omgthree
Hi all, I'm trying to install an ENB called "RealVision ENB (performance)" but I'm having trouble getting it to work. I followed a video guide (which I have provided a link below) but when I try to load my data to play skyrim, I just get a continuous loading screen. I tried to fix that using a mod I found on the Nexus (I can't remember the name, sorry) but nothing seems to work. Video Guide:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-T3cWGH2LY my pc specs are:AMD A10-6700 APU (3.7 GHZ, 4 Core)AMD Radeon HD 8470 + 8670D Dual Graphics (1.8 GB Dedicated or 4 GB depending on the "System Requirements Lab" program) 8 GB RamWindows 8 (64bit) Have I installed it wrong even though I followed a video guide or is my pc not strong enough to run skyrim with an enb?Any other info needed just ask. Thanks Edited January 22, 2014 by omgthree
Lord Garon
That video tells you it is outdated. Not sure why, I didn't watch it all. Did you go to the updated link that Gopher recommended? Basically, for the enbseries from enbdev.com, you extract whats inside EITHER the WrapperVersion OR the InjectorVersion directories to the Skyrim game directory. Read the install instructions for the version you will be using. Then just extract the RealVision ENB files from the Nexus into your Skyrim game directory. Do not install them with a mod manager; they will put the files into the Skyrim\Data directory instead of the Skyrim directory.

Lord Garon
Well, I use Wrye Bash, so I'm not that familiar with NMM. However, most MODS are installed into the Skyrim\Data directory by default. If you didn't have the ILS (infinite loading screen) before installing the ENB, I would verify that the ENB is installed correctly, at least. To verify the enbseries WrapperVersion: Go to your Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim directory and verify the following files are in that directory: d3d9.dll, enbhost.exe. Also verify that the following directory exists: Skyrim\enbseries RealVision OVERWRITES some files installed by the enbseries WrapperVersion and must be installed AFTER the WrapperVersion. But, it also installs at least three unique files. To check a RealVision install, see if you have the following files in your Skyrim directory: common.fxh, technique.fxh, and effect.txt. If so, you're probably good, IF you installed RealVision after the WrapperVersion. An ENB, by itself, will not cause an ILS. However, it modifies a DirectX dll file (d3d9.dll) and some GPU/FPS/Overclock/GameBooster type software won't work well with an ENB. Disable any monitoring software while testing your ENB. You can disable the ENB completely, for testing, by RENAMING the d3d9.dll to something else, like d3d9.dll.sav
Skateboards
You can't install ENB's with NMM, only files that go in the Data folder. Uninstall everything with the NMM installation you used..RealVision comes with an installer now, just use that. Follow the instructions on the RealVision page very very closely. Thanks guys, i'll re-download the files I need and give it another try. I thought my pc couldn't handle the ENB because the specs where too low.
