Vortex says i'm out of space im my disk when i still have plenty left

Hey gang, so i'm going throught an issue with vortex right now, and i dont seem to find an answer anywhere else.
See, anytime i try to download a mod which a file size over 5 GB, the download will go through over the halfway mark and then vortex will pop an error message saying that im out of space.
My download and staging folders are on the d/ which has a little over 450 GB, while c/ has a little over 140 GB
I found a thread which might explain the problem, but it only has a solution for NMM, i'll link it bellow in case anyone wants to check it out.
In any case, i would be really grateful if anyone is able to help me out with this, as i really dont know where else to look for.
