AI Voice mods are unethical and Nexus should either ban or limit them

Making a mod that integrates into a game that gives people enjoyment is not unethical. Going around making money off it is a different story. It is more unethical that Nexus allowed someone to steal my mod and uploaded to steam without giving me credit as my mod download permissions I setup on Nexus said that is what they had to do. The person who stole my mod is a Nexus member to this day. I know some people will be so angry at this comment, if you are angry just go outside or spend time with your friends and ignore me. Tired of the namecalling on this website people constantly resort to I am already anticipating being called a troll or something. I have mods that use xVASynth to mimic character voices (free software with terrible results lol). If a lawyer wants me to take it down then so be it but if not, it will be on Nexus for people to enjoy for free. People want immersion. A character with two voices is not very immersive. 😉

You make no sense. The entire mod world is bad by your logic. Why are you assigning more value to voice actors than the work of other artists such as the devs of games? So it's ok, by your standards, to mod a game using a game's assets but it is NOT ok to use a voice for the same purpose via AI, so long as you're not profiting off of that voice actor (although I disagree with that, too). LOLwut? Rethink your stance.

Yeah, pretty much get upset at the system we benefit/suffer from as it uses itself

I gotta disagree on this one. The voicelines (which AI of existing characters is based off of) are property of Bethesda. Before we had AI, we did stuff like this by snipping words or syllables to try to make them say other stuff and nobody batted an eye. AI just makes it easier.

With regards to NSFW stuff, nobody is thinking about the VA when they're doing it; they're thinking about the character. Now I understand that a person's voice is a little more personal than a texture or 3D model because your voice is a part of you in real life and it's a lot harder to separate. But....

The voice actors sold their voice and got paid for it. I don't see why they should have a say in how it gets used by people who own the game.

Never thought people would have to start copy writing their likeness and voice before but maybe that is something they should look into so that their voice could not be used for things they do not approve of I for one would not be happy if my voice was used for what was mentioned in the OP.

But the internet is gonna internet people have been uploading and downloading stuff they should not for ages and it has never slowed down in fact in my opinion it has only gotten worse.

Nothing is sacred.

(looks at Rule34) yeah nothing ever has been either.

Completely getting rid of an actors voice and replace it with an 100% AI generated one, not trained on a particular famous voice? Sure, go for it, but it has to remain free for a few reasons. And from my personal preference, offer way more than the original work did.

If I'm free to replace textures people have worked on for days, I should be able to replace an audio file people have worked on for days. We already have music replacers.

Being able to add way more voiced content would be nice in games like fallout4 and Cyberpunk.
