NPC HELP!

Recommended Posts

Ok here's the whole story. I'm currently working on a mod in which I'm making a new town. I've made a few houses etc. and everything works well. I've followed the NPC creation tutorial on TES Construction set wiki but they explain how to make an enemy/boss in some cave.

Now I want to make an NPC that lives in the house I made. I don't realy understand how to do this.

I also want to make some sort of guard that can patrol in the town. I've tried a few things but he doesn't appear ( Yes, I actually dragged him into the town )

Can someone give me a detailed explanation on how to make these 2 types of NPCS. (if it's not too much asked!!!)

I would realy like to finish my mod by having NPCS living in the houses and to have guards in the town.

I don't want to make guards like in every city but the idea is to make a kind of guard in a mythic dawn outfit ( the red robes etc. ) without the hood. But he must be friendly. He needs to patrol in the town and maybe a bit out of it. And ofcourse, just some NPCS that can live in the houses. I don't really understand which packages to use.

I'd like them to eat, sleep,go to the chapel I made, have a chat with other npcs, sit on chairs in their houses, read a book etc.

Just the usual stuff an NPC does in Oblivion.

I'd really really really appreciate it if someone can tell me how to do this. If you want to explain this by use of teamspeak/skype etc. because its too hard to explain. Also fine!!!

Thanks in advance :thanks:

Lol, never heard of teamspeak before..

Anyway. Package are quite simple when you know how to use them. Just that can be tricky though.

Most info on the wiki is plain, because many info can be gathered by taking a look at other packages inside CS.

There is some tutorials you can use from the wiki though

-Basic things about NPCs:Basic NPC Creation Tutorial

-This one could be used for your guard(s): Basic NPC Patrols Tutorial

-Or perhaps a shop: My First Shop

Packages in general.

If you want to let the eat get the: Eat Package

People wandering around and talking: Wander Package

People sleeping: Sleep Package

People doings something special: Use Item At

Take a look at a random character by going to their basic-edit and then to AI, the packages will be listed beneath each other.

All packages can be accessed at Character..->Packages..

If you want a specific tutorial you can get one via a PM. Please go to those links/suggestions first. I don't have that much time ;D

I'm planning on making a info-tutorial in the future....but that will not be anytime soon.
