sapphmo Posted April 18 Share Posted April 18 (edited) I'm running several mods that add, edit, or incorporate spells in new and different ways, so I have no idea which mod may be the culprit for this odd issue I'm having! It's a small but irritating issue: moonbeam is tagged as "short rest" in my game. I am playing as a druid with the spell prepared (it also happens on a twilight cleric who has moonbeam as a domain spell), so I shouldn't have any issues casting it, nor do I have any mods that edit moonbeam directly (to my knowledge). What happens in game is that I can cast the spell first round, then 2nd round I am free to use my action to "move moonbeam", but on sequential rounds I am no longer able to move the moonbeam, as it says that the "move moonbeam" action requires a short rest to activate. Additionally, once the fight is finished or if concentration if broken, I am also no longer able to recast the spell at all until after a short rest, so it's both the additional moving and casting of the spell that is tied to a short rest mechanic for reasons I've yet to figure out. I checked my game without mods and moonbeam worked as intended, free to be moved around for 10 rounds with no "short rest" tag on it, so I'm assuming it's an unintended bug associated with one of my mods. Unfortunately, I have no idea which one! Is anyone else having this issue with moonbeam and know which mod may be causing the spell to require a short rest? Just in case it may be helpful, I included my mod list with the mods I think would be most relevant (the chunk that is not included are purely aesthetic mods). I haven't played for a while but in the interim I added many new mods, so unfortunately I can't really narrow it down by new mods other than potentially Essential Feats, which I did download recently and while it does alter some spells to be on a short rest / long rest basis when connected to feats, I don't think moonbeam would be effected by that. I also remember having a somewhat similar issue in the past regarding moonbeam, in which the "move moonbeam" action would occasionally give me trouble (refuse to activate despite having the action to do so) but this would be fixed when I saved & reloaded and it did not have the "short rest" requirement tag back then. But again it's been over a month since I've actually played and I can't remember if this issue was resolved. I would appreciate any help or advice anyone could give me!
