Long Distance Rendering Not Working and Nighttime Lighting is Insanely Dark

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I wouldn't make a post on here unless I researched the crap out of this issue of mine but I thought to ask you, the professionals reading this, for your opinion.

I recently got into ENB's for my game because, y'know, I like my game looking pretty. Anyway, I noticed that after dealing with downloading the ENB, its necessary mods, and any other little thing required to add to my already burdened mod manager but you see the issue in the pic I attached? Everything in the distance looks nekkid - and as a plant and greenery enthusiast in my gameplay, this displeases me greatly. 20240428134124_1.thumb.jpg.92876472f6efda36eb511c3d04c18783.jpg

And to answer any questions you may ask: I do have item distance/draw distance from the in-game menu already to the highest limit. No, I do not have any special mod that helps with rendering items in the distance like Dyndo or the other somewhat dated one that I can't remember the name of. I am using the Silent Horizons 2 - Universal Core ENB so it can mesh well with my beloved Mythical Ages lighting and environment mod. And my laptop is one meant for gaming so no, I do not play on a potato 😅

My second question is this: Is it normal for nighttime gameplay while using an ENB to be crazy dark? This is what it looks like while using the magelight spell during a rainstorm at night:20240428140249_1.thumb.jpg.d7ed6e973cc240874e37fe8ba600fd32.jpg

I can barely see anything at night unless it's lit up like this but even then I can only see things a few feet ahead of my character. Is this on purpose and I'm just a dummy dumb dumb or have I come across yet another issue in my stumbling through ENB's? I did try to adjust the settings in the ENB menu but for some reason, it wasn't allowing me to adjust anything despite saving and then applying.

I'm sorry to inflict my modding incompetence on you all, but I appreciate any help or ideas you can give me in my modding endeavors. Thank you! ☺️
