Unloading Mods for a current run through?

Just curious, I started a sorceress run through and so far enjoying the sorceress type.  I also JUST started modding and downloaded and loaded a bunch of Mods for this playthrough.  Of course I am finding some mods I like and some I don't like.  Is there a way to continue playing my current run through but unload the mods I don't like?  what are the steps or the process to do that?  Or is my only option to start from the beginning and only load up the mods I like?  Also, I am using the BG3 ModManager to work with my mods.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Generally speaking, a lot of mods can be removed, I would just do so one at a time and test if everything is working. Load it back in and troubleshoot if you run into issues. Mods with special requirements or instructions for removal will typically include instructions, so check the mod pages as well.

Character Creation/Cosmetic mods (faces/hair/etc.) can generally be removed, but you may need to make sure your character isn't using the face/hair/etc. in question. Replacer mods can be safely removed I believe, they'll just default to their original thing. Make-up and tattoos tend to be replacers. I've added and removed probably a dozen or more cosmetic mods throughout my playthrough with no issues.

Clothing/Armor/Gear - you can't have them in any of your characters' inventory or camp chest before removing the mod or the game will not load. Probably can't be out in the world either. I think they actually need to be completely destroyed, but possibly selling them to a vendor would work? I had problems with that, though that could have been because I had one character whose gear I couldn't offload as he'd... temporarily disappeared, let's say (that's the non-spoilery answer, it wasn't a mod-related bug or anything). Keeping track of all the modded gear may prove problematic if you have a lot however. Definitely remove these one at a time and re-load the mod back in when the game crashes because you missed one..

Script-y mods and those that affect gameplay can often be replaced, but check the mod info in case there are special instructions or requirements. I would assume things like custom races or sub-races would be an exception. Character classes sound iffy as well unless you respec your character.
