Skyrim SE - Mod Idea: Bigger Collisionbox for Humanoids

Vanilla Collisionbox size creates clipping

In Skyrim the collision that happens between actors when they walk against each other (not the hitboxes when actor gets hit) are a bit to small in my opinion, causing characters to clip through each other, which happens especially with custom combat animations. Also characters are standing too close to the opponent during combat, which looks a bit silly. Take a look at this video to know exactly what i mean.

The issue of small collisionboxes is even more so apparent if using MCO, since the characters are almost always walking forwards while attacking and thus leading to characters collosion boxes colliding during fights.

With the help of the mod Dynamic Collision Adjustment i could expand the player collisionbox size via a sloppy maneuver.

I setscaled the player taller with console command, and then reduced his size in racemenu again to match his regular size again. When using the mod, this enlarges the collision box radius of the player, which is exactly what i wanted. But there are three problems with this solution: 1. Character starts ice skating -- 2. Collision box height is way too tall -- 3. NPC vs NPC combat is not affected.

Apart from that i searched the default skyrim ini files for a way to adjust collision, also checked SSEdit and tried it with CreationKit, but to no avail.

Summary

The idea of this mod is basically to enlarge collision hitbox radius. Expanding it would be diserable for humanoids, possibly for falmer and draugr too, i didn't test it. The best thing would be an MCM Menu where the collisionbox radius of different creature types is adjustable.

If anyone has a hint how to find a solution for this, i'd be very grateful for a reply 🙂
