Warnings and Site Ban Theater

Y'know, it's kind of weird how often "confusing sarcasm" comes up as one of the reasons for a ban.

Not a warning or ban, but I was amused earlier when someone had necroed a two year old thread Pickysaurus locked the thread and pointed the person to a post that answered their question.  A post that was in that same thread and only separated by the necro post by a single post.  Here we go 'round in circles, circles, circles.

From what I've been seeing most recently, the game My Summer Car seems to attract the most trolls, pirates and just downright nasty people than any other!

That's been a trending reason for warnings and bans for some time now. Mostly bans though because of the stupids who openly seek support for their pirated copy of the game. Or ask something like, "Will this mod work with my pirated copy of ----------?" Fool! Instant ban! I wonder how many are shocked at being banned.

Hmm.  Seems some of the people getting temporary posting restrictions are taking to the feedback board to submit vague messages of future doom for bad moderation.

A lot.

Biggest reason for piracy bans with that game? The images the pirates post themselves showing they've triggered some anti-piracy measure.

They're telling on themselves and sometimes it's just to post "Why does my car look like this? It's missing parts and painted weird!" Or "Why's my hud screwed up?"

  I suspect that game has been surprisingly popular in general, of late.  ...A sleeper hit I'd never really heard of until people started getting banned from misbehaving with it here.

It also has a "tell" for piracy that could appear as a bug/mod conflict to people not in the know, which results in many, many people selling themselves out by asking for help.
