Chernobog95 Posted May 2 Share Posted May 2 Each LOD level takes up memory space, registry and cycles from processors when loaded in and changed based on distance, my suggestion is to trim lower end by only referencing higher end of LOD. Or even simply most complex on and disable rest which are replaced by reference to highest detail LOD model that is loaded again while still in memory and cache itself of processors. Alternatively use of Global Region Imposter plugin to load higher detail or highest detail LOD model further than vanilla for lowest LOD is enabled in game engine of FO3 and FNV. With closer or closest LOD only used for vanilla and rest for disabled while GRI replaces those, hence memory footprint reduced thus more space for mods under 4GB limit.
