Gomperthemodder
I've been wondering how other people's experiences are involving the next gen update. personally ive been doing excelled since i made the choice to make my game completely vanilla since i head F4SE was going to need to update, so i uninstalled all my mods and everything related, and ive been playing the game in its vanilla form. 363rdChemicalCompany
Good to hear that its working well. I was worried about new players getting a bad experience with the bug reports we been hearing. I cannot post an experience yet as my game is still locked to before the update and I just cant play w/o mods since i had so many playthroughs already. I'll shut up so others can post their updated experiences in here
Karna5
I also can't play yet as I'm waiting for several F4SE mods which I consider essential to be updated. But I'm playing other games like Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord as well as various indie games, and the update thus is not distressing. It'll be nice to check it out when everything is ready
RoNin1971
Got the update installed on 1 (of 2) of my rigs. Works fine so far. Looks a bit better too. Non of my own mods needs updating (as expected, but you never know) Most of the few mods i use still work, but still missing 'place everywhere'. Â Have yet to do some serious gaming, but i am way to bussy modding/moddeling/texturing & testing (getting there with the "V4/32/33" tunnels:) ) Â Still got my non-updated 2nd/old rig as backup.
Papajack55
In all reality, I am back to playing like I was back when it first came out. Lot of mods still work, just a few don't but it still works as well. Can't get a few to work even though their on the list. Like I tried getting The Commonwealth Store mod to work, but it hasn't shown up as of yet. Could use a bit of help on how to get it working again.  I ill give it this though, I really loved playing it through without any mods the first few times, and that's where I'm at right now. zed140
It's not really a choice it's a forced update without explanation. Fortunately the modders explained how to revert to the previous version, else enter the sacrifice : ocbp, mcm, transfer settlement, buffout 4, vanilla idles, screen archer, photo mode, liga of my companions, mcm settings manager, mcm booster, companion command, fallout 4 outfit system, terrain uderside, sunlight aligment tweaks, cough, recoil shake, indirect fire, qca quick change armor, quick trade, stealth effect tune, tull light, vats third person only, hotkey manager, camera tweak, sim settlements, looksmenu, billions of presets....... and so many many others... And that break also non f4se mods I can't list because I not upgraded. If I want a "next gen" play I have just to disable all my 500 mods, textures, clothes, weapons, bugs fix and I'm on the "next gen".

fraquar
Didn't update.  Just continuing to play like I was. Been through the Skyrim debacle - learned that lesson already.   In this case it's simply better to be the Turtle than the Hare. Edited May 8 by fraquar
