mechine
sounds like a 7zip WinRAr problem Drop the 7zip an get WinRar or don't I mean it should really matter Not to worry though, WMK is messyit conflicts with tons of other modsbesides having messy meshesto which doesn't really add that much Pretty much it only applies to the vanilla weaponsYou can put all the optics an scopes, attachments, supressors, ect in the whole world on those weapons an they still suck You just can't polish a turd. If you really wana get that kind of thing just get nifscope an learn to use ituse the paintnet, or photoshop with a DDS converter to retextureThen the GECK an make new versions that are not messy of the vanilla weapons Or you could just edit the vanilla weapons in GECK WMK needs a Searious update from the one I looked at last month If you really want this kind of thing look into the CRAFT mod an the stuff that uses CRAFTthen it doesn't mess with loot lists as much an won't conflict, also updated an maybe not as messy as WMK Or hey don't listen to me use it anyway an crash then you can ask why I used it for a while an it was cool, just the part where you loot the items to mod vanilla weapons. That being said, a few months later I learned to make custom weapons somewhat the same thing As WMK is based off, only without the chance to loot stuff to mod weapons ingame, even still the versions of the custom weapons I made were 2054 times better than the WMK guns. C:\Users\Slick\Downloads\Fallout 3 Mods\fellout1014.rar: Cannot create textures\sky\wastelandcloudhorizon02.dds! The system cannot find the path specified.! C:\Users\Slick\Downloads\Fallout 3 Mods\fellout1014.rar: Cannot create folder textures\sky! Access is denied.! C:\Users\Slick\Downloads\Fallout 3 Mods\fellout1014.rar: Cannot create Fellout-Full.esp! Access is denied. crap like that. Any Idea how I can get it to work?
mechine
Could be a read only problem. Like somehow the folder you're trying to move to is set to read only. I've used Fellout so it's probably not the mod that is set to read only. Maybe your bethesda folder or data folder is. You could just right click the bethesda folder, then propertyssee if the read only is marked then unmark it with a clickwhich it should prompt to apply to either this folder or all folders below this one, which I would say yes apply to all which would take a few seconds You could also check the data folders propertys to look for a read only tag But we know it's not a problem with winZip as winRar did the same thingin a rare case though it could be messed up settings on how windows treats Rar archives, which I guess you would just look in the settings for either winzip or winrar. I don't think I had to mess with thembut it was a long long time ago. New to modz, You should search for the Ultimate Load Order modit's kind of outdated, but still good as it teaches you a lot of tricks to installing stuff really clean, which is what you want to avoid crashes.Ultimate Load Order has a bunch of stuff you probably don't want in it thoughSo later on when you get tired of it, just reinstall, and follow the same rules to apply what you learned to get what you really want. You can pretty much plan on turning all of the auto saves offin the game options. Autosaves are not full saves, an also can cause coruption as well as crashes. You should take some time to research the different patch set ups we usehalf the work of avoiding crashes is making clean installs of thingsthe other half is having a good patch set up. For the most part the players at Nexus use 1.0.15 plus the fake patch mod1.4 plus the fake patch mod1.5 plus FO3edit's master update1.6 plus FO3edit's master update Plan on the first few times you install or start using mods to screw it up an make it crash. It doesn't take long to learn more though. This last time I installed I also created a restore point with windows tools. Right after I installed the game, but before I put any patches or mods on. Also you may want to keep the downloaded Zip/rar files rather than delete them, as you might have to install them again, an don't wana download again. It's a lot of work, and also kind of hard, but worth it in the end result.
