BG3 mods won't work

I have been trying for a while now and I can not get the mods I have to work. I read the descriptions, looked online to see guides. Nothing is helping. The mod settings keep resetting and I can't get a game to load in with mods. I have tried changing order, rolling back updated mods to previous versions, excluding mods that might cause problems but I can't get them to work. I have about 15 mods and most come from required mods like the script extender and the fantastical core stuff where you need to download individual pc races. But none show up, the extra spells that are suppose to be there don't show up from the 5e spells mod. What am I doing wrong?
