Sims 4 furries have blacked-out ears and tails

I'm using the savestate furry mod, berni's collection, and the sims4furry Mod made by SoraFoxY

Even before I downloaded the sorafoxy mod, I've had issues with furry characters having black ears and tails. Thought downloading the Sorafoxy mod would fix it, but it didn't. I've moved some folders around and the ears and some tails are still all black. I'm not sure if I missed something or if there's a corrupted file somewhere, I tried everything I can think of. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you put on the correct skin detail? Your sim looks like it has regular human skin rather than the furry texture.

If you did install the furry mod, you should select the custom skin-tone that came with the furry mod in the skin tone section.

Then to get the furry colors, select your sim, go to "Body," "Tattoo," and then scroll until you see "Base Color Furry" in the grid.
