Artie3
I apologize in advanced if I end up breaking some forum etiquette, this is my first time posting a topic. Hello, I’ve been having a small problem with race menu and how it interacts with cbbe, specifically with the nude body. I’ll try to explain to the best of my ability in as much detail as I can so please bear with me. I recently got Skyrim AE on steam and wanted to see how the game would handle a few bodymorphing mods before I started my modding journey in earnest. It was mostly smooth until I got race menu working. At first it was fine aside from a few clipping issues due to not getting an alt start mod and thus having my hands bound. But when I removed my clothes to see how my characters textures looked, I found that the naked cbbe body wasn’t affected by my race menu sliders. The clothed body was affected just fine but the naked body was only affected by the preset I made in bodyslider. I tried again after checking the build morph option but no dice, the nude body still wasn’t affected by race menu sliders. I tried searching around online to see if anyone already found the problem but nobody else seemed to have ran into this problem, or at least nobody else asked about it. So I figured I’d ask here, does anyone have a potential solution to this problem? Here’s some extra info in case it could help. I think a mod that could be causing this problem is the 3ba mod for cbbe, as I was using the cbbe 3bbb amazing model for the naked body and it’s possible that it isn’t affected by racemenu’s body morph sliders. I’m also using the Flawn’s argonians and Flawn’s argonian overlays mods, and while I doubt those specifically are what’s causing this issue I was trying to make an argonian character when I found this problem so I think those mods should be taken into consideration when figuring out the cause. I’m sorry if this was a bit long winded, and thanks in advance for your time.
7531Leonidas
Which body type, CBBE or CBBE 3BA, did you use as the body build in racemenu? They are NOT the same. When I first started, I did not know that I needed to save my body preset under a name (self-made, or it will override the included body style), then build it. You then can build matching outfits for that body by using the "batch build" and "build morphs" choices at the bottom left of the BodySlide window. 1. Open a body by selecting it in BS, and adjusting its sliders as you see fit for Low Weight and High Weight. Make sure to save it under an easily recognizable name (I use My CBBE Curvy Physics - it reflects what I started with long ago.) and save often as you make changes. If I remember right, there are a few body options and mods that require "zeroed sliders", make sure that you are not using one of these. 2. Once you have adjusted the body sliders as you see fit (using the 'Preview' tab), save it one last time, then click on the 'Batch Build" to make the outfits conform to your base body. 'Build Morphs' forces the app to build adjusted outfits for various situations, most notably wrt pregnancy. The first time you do this, you should get a lot of options to select from if you have a lot of outfit mods, mostly to choose between physics/not physics/which physics, or between the same base game outfits contained in outfit mods. If you later see that you made a mistake, it is pretty easy to go back and change to a different option. These selections are mostly automated, but you may have the odd outfit mod or source that you have to specifically build and save separately before use. 3. Enjoy the fruit of your labors in-game. I am sure that there is more to be done/learned, but this is what I have learned so far. I am pretty sure that others will join in to point out my misconceptions, or to give additional input. Artie3
I used the body from 3BA in bodyslider, and I used it with a saved preset and used batch build with build morphs turned on twice (once before I found out racemenu wasn’t affecting the nude body, once after) and it didn’t seem to work either time. I should have stated that from the start, I’m sorry. I don’t know why racemenu is only affecting clothed bodies, I’m certain I followed the instructions correctly. 7531Leonidas
You actually opened up the body file, saw it via the 'Preview' button, and adjusted your sliders to make it more to your liking, then used 'Save', or better 'Save As' (with a new name) then clicked 'Build'? That should be all it takes to get the nude body adjusted, having made sure that the 'Preset' is set to your new body style name. The other stuff is to get outfits to match the body sliders. One more thought - did you somehow uncheck the path to tell BodySlide where to save the default nude body (just above the batch build menu item)
Artie3
Didn’t uncheck, did everything as you described. My problem is specifically about racemenu and how it’s bodymorph sliders (the ones not connected to either body slide or CBBE) are only affecting my clothed model and not my nude model. If I’m coming across as vague then I apologize, I genuinely don’t know how to describe my problem more clearly outside of getting screenshots so I can visualize it. It’s getting late for me so I’m not gonna be able to do that or reply for a while, but I’ll see if I can get some screenshots tomorrow to see if that would help. 7531Leonidas
The only thing that I can think of is that you have not saved the preset that you worked on as the default body. You say that you have, but I know from personal experience is is very easy to mess up. I don't have any more ideas, in any case. Will look @ your screenshots, but I don't think that I can be of much help. I think that this will take someone much more experienced in BS/OS than myself. Artie3
Okay, I'm back with some screenshots, unfortunately having multiple in one reply seems to go over the size limit so I'll have to share them individually. This is the one that shows what bodymorph sliders i was using that were causing the problem, as well as showing what I was setting the sliders to. Artie3
Here's a side profile to better show the discrepency (although the size difference should show it plenty).
Artie3
And here's the one showing how the nude body is unaffected.
Hanaisse
You're in the wrong Racemenu tab. You should have a CBBE or 3BA tab (near the beginning) for the morphs. If you don't have that tab make sure you have the RacemenuMorphsCBBE.esp installed and enabled.
