greyday01 Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 After my game updated to 1.6.1170 do I need to reclean all my master files? I have been trying to get my game working again but I can't even get to my main menu. I did get the new SKSE 2.2,6 and address library and a few other new versions but I can't even get to the main menu from MO2.
7531Leonidas Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 If you clean your masters, then yes, you must clean again after every Beth update to a new version. Not even getting to the main menu usually means that one or more of your SKSE-based mods are not updated/compatible. Go to ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ) to check your SKSE mods against that list.

greyday01 Posted May 17, 2024 Author Posted May 17, 2024 Ok. Cleaned all my masters. Got my game to load as far as Live Another Life opening. But it always crashes when I name and Save my character. Any advice. Tried to COC to Riverwood from main menu. Arrived there and MCM menus started initializing and then it crashed. This is with the same mod list as before the update.
7531Leonidas Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Did you make sure that your Racemenu version is the proper one to go with 1.6.1170? Did you look at the various logs in Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE to see which one(s) failed? HINT: if you arrange them in descending order by Date Modified, you check the latest one at the top, first, then proceed down the list.
