WishkahKid
I don't quite understand how this works. If I don't update, will newer BA2 mods not work with the older version? I've seen this already happen. Bethesda did something that changed BA2 files. What exactly did they do? Has this messed up all older BA2 file mods? I'm asking this because there are a dozen or so mods that I've use/used I know will never be updated. For myself, it's not worth ever updating for. How does this go forward? Will I be stuck only using mods made before 4/25/24?
Selene310187
You can play new BA2 mods with the Pre-Next Gen versions if you use Backported Archive2 Support System. I successfully played the Next Gen Creation Club stuff on version 1.10.163 of Fallout 4 with the help of this mod. If you want to install mods that use the Fallout 4 Script Extender, you need to check if they are compatible with your version of the game - there are mod creators who support both the Next Gen and the Pre-Next Gen versions of Fallout 4.
