SamSlamwich Posted May 24, 2024 Share Posted May 24, 2024 A few nights ago I was updating vortex when my power went out. the next day I couldn't open vortex so reinstalled it but now it has no vortex.exe file? I tried reinstalling (after using the uninstall exe) with a older version (Vortex-1-1-8-1-1683621179.exe) to no avail. when installing it also gives me "vortex can not be closed, please close it manually and click Retry to continue" if I click retry it gives me "Extract: error writing to file Uninstall Vortex.exe" and the only option is "okay" which aborts the install Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Solution SamSlamwich Posted May 31, 2024 Author Solution Share Posted May 31, 2024 The problem was fixed after waiting a few days somehow. perhaps it was a server side problem? for any of those looking for a solution in the distant future I suggest just waiting a bit.
