FO4 - Crash on Startup

Hey all, I recently did a clean wipe on my desktop and was taking some time to reinstall all my old Fallout 4 mods when I kept getting the same error message right after trying to launch the game through F4SE. I already tried verifying game files, uninstalling all mods, and using a mod scanner. If anybody knows of a solution I would greatly appreciate a comment.

I did use the Crash Log Auto Scanner but couldn't find anything related to any mods that were messed up.

However I DID find a solution with on a Bethesda Support page: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/32174

All I had to do was delete the .INI files listed in the article: Fallout4.ini, Fallout4Custom.ini, and Fallout4Prefs.ini

My biggest problem was getting past the PLEASE STAND BY loading screen and the game would always close. But after getting rid of the .INI files, I ran the game through F4SE and Steam and the game loads just fine.

Edit: This solution only worked once, the problem reoccurs after getting rid of the .INI files.

I am assuming, you downloaded the latest version with the  Next Gen Update.  1.  Do not load any mods and start the game at the lowest settings.  2.  And turn off the God Rays.  It never worked and after the update, it still does not work.  The game settings interface will not allow you to turn it off but will only allow you to put the setting at low even if you set it off.  It still will crash your game mid-game.  At game startup, go into the console and use the command:  "GR OFF"  No quotes.  You have to do this at every startup of the game.  Also, I suggest you use the Fallout 4 Config Tool v2.0.4.42176 by Bilago, to better adjust your settings.  It allows you to modify settings the vanilla game will not let you set without console commands.  Start with a low setting on the game with Godrays off.  I can run the game but it still has a lot of problems.  I used the Unofficial Patch, UNOFFICIAL FALLOUT 4 Patch-UFO4P.  It did help on many issues but after the latest May 13 patch to the Next Gen Update, The game produced issues that were formally corrected. Even though the latest UFO4P was released on the 14 of May to try to correct issues it still needs work.  The latest version is a stopgap, v. 2.1.6d, it is technically a Bata but still helps.  All this is for PC.  When Bethesda stops monkeying with the game, F4SE and the UFO4P will get stabilized and all will be good.  I do not play on consoles, so with that, I am of no help.  Good Luck.
