Crashing after disabling/enabling same mods.

Posted (edited)

Hello, so recently ive spend some time modding my fallout 4, I installed the Story-wealth collection, and ran mods 1 by 1 almost to get it working. I just had 1 issue left before I could start my adventure which was the brown face problem I tried both legacy and new face rust mod fix but didn't help, later I tried to disable all of my Models and Textures Category to try and find why Ive got brown face, and my game started crashing. I enabled all of them again and my game still was crashing... I later found out the brown face could be an issue where I didn't install the Valkyr Face Texture HD DLC, but instead had the regular version as I read in the comments this gives brown face problems. but now the problem is my game wont start, It does the loading start up screen, and after it crashes. Id be eternal grateful for anyone being able to help me with this issue.

The rusty face bug is usually caused by mixing different resolution textures (eg. Using both 4K and 2K face textures) You can mitigate this issue by installing the Rusty Face Fix and keeping your body/face textures at the same resolution.

But regarding your crashes, it seems to be a BA2 limit crash, meaning you've exceeded the engine's limit for loading BA2 files, causing it to crash. The only solution I know is to reduce the number of BA2 files until the game launches.

Thanks for the quick reply, for some weird reason the HandCuffs mod from LLAb crashes the game. It wasnt crashing the game before but now it does, but if i disable it my game works fine. The only issue I still have is the Brown face ;( The Rusty Face fix didnt help, I tried both new version and legacy. Any suggestions? I also tried the Console command from Rusty face. It said patched but I still had the issue.

Your face/ body textures are probably at different resolutions. Make sure they're all at either 4K, 2K, or 1K.
