Hi,

Every time i try to download a mod through Vortex i get this message. I understand that it must have something to do with some sort of file or application on my PC that disturbs the downloading process (as the error message states). Here is a list of the things i have tried that haven't worked.

  • Making Vortex and my mod folders into an "exception" for my Windows Defender.
  • Uninstalling Vortex and making sure to reinstalling it the correct way.
  • Installing Vortex to separate disk then my standard "C-disk".
  • Installing Vortex to the standard suggested download path
  • Making sure to have my game (SkyrimSe), Vortex and my 2 separate mod-folders (one for used mods and one for stored mods) on the SSD-Disk.
  • Trying different mods to make sure that it inst the mods who are causing a problem
  • Reinstalling SkyrimSE
  • Completely Wiping out all Vortex files and saved data from my PC before reinstalling it.
  • Removed applications that i thought could be causing the problem. These applications being, Overwolf (application i needed for my deck-tracker in Hearthstone) and Faceit (application for "organized CSGO matchmaking")

Please reply if you think of some possible solution to this problem. All suggestions and help are appreciated, thanks in advance.

Okay lol i just fixed it right after posting. I managed to find a thread about .Net framework with I thought i already had downloaded. Turns out that there is .Net SDK and .Net Desktop Runtime. Turns out my .Net Desktop Runtime was outdated so installing the newer version fixed it.
