Switch Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Haha I'm not a fan of rock as such but it's definitely better than rap IMO. Yes so they can rhyme to a rhythm. And they can rhyme swear words, too! Aren't they clever! Sorry but I don't buy into that... the appeal of it escapes me really. :P The only thing worse than rap for me would be these idiotic ringtones such as "Crazy Frog" being spammed twice every advert break and stealing the number one spot from the real music.

To be honest quoting particular songs isn't really supporting of your statement. There's plenty of "rock" lyrics out there that make no sense and/or are just dumb. Tenacious D anyone? In my opinion people listen to rap because they like hearing about how a black guy "popped a cap" into a "pig", made money from dealing drugs, spent 5 years in prison and is now making a steal talking about it. I listen to rock because I like the idea of 3, 4 or 5 people working together to form something that sounds good.
