Issues starting a game

Hey guys, I am brand new to PC gaming. I have Skyrim SSE/Anniversary and thought I’d get some mods and start fresh (previously played on console). I watched tutorials and have Vortex to manage my mods. I got a fair few and downloaded them all just fine, but FNIS has been stuck downloading “animations” for around 2 hours. I tried resolving it, skipping it, re-installing it, etc. Still going. I tried just starting the game after skipping it to be honest, but the window seemed too big for the screen, and there were only a few objects (no floor/ground) that were non textured, purple shapes, and feet. The perspective was whack and flipping presets or sliders changed nothing visually. Any ideas? Thanks!
