paddy2017
I used the Race Menu to change the face on my player character which was great. I saved it , then I stripped her naked to do some tattoos and scars but when I stripped the clothes off her body is completely messed up. The breast are not attached on the sides and they just look totally wrong, her legs are unattached from the torso and the groin has a big split between the legs where it does not come together. I have been trying for 3 days to replace the body. I have some presets in the Body Slide but I don't know how to replace the body I have with a new one that is correct looking. I am completely new to using these tools, I've been reading online trying to answer this question but I am getting no where. Can someone please walk me through how to completely remove the body I have and get a brand new one? This one just won't go away. I have uninstalled things like 3 times, all the mods, vortex, everything and reinstalled and I keep winding up with the same body. I don't know what else to do. Thanks to anyone and everyone that can walk me through this. This is for Skyrim SE .
7531Leonidas
The short answer is, you probably have skin textures that do not match the female default body that you have installed in your game. AFAIK, there are two classes of female body styles, CBBE and UNP, which emphasize body proportions and geometries differently. If you have a skin texture mod that is for CBBE, but your game has a UNP body (or vice-versa), you will get such gaps and discolorations. Look at your mod list to see which general body type it has, and then look at your installed skin texture mod. You will probably have to go to those mod pages to check for that information. There are a series of CBBE-based body mods (CBBE-3BA is the mod that is SMP physics enabled), and there is a BHUNP style that covers the same for UNP, if I am not mistaken. Both body styles have various other iterations, as well. I believe that the reason that your clothed body looked normal, is that the outfit was made to match whichever body style you have installed.

paddy2017
I need to ask, once I figure out the proper skin and download it will it automatically fix it or do I need to do something else? I really meant it when I said I was completely new to this. I have never made a mod or whatever it is I think I'm doing, LOL, just d/l and put in my game. Thanks again for your help. Hanaisse
Start from the beginning. As Leonidas said, you can only have one body type installed for your game. Choose either CBBE or BHUNP and only add new textures or new mod outfits that are made for that body type. Launch Bodyslide from the Vortex Dashboard Tools area. Once Bodyslide is open follow these basic steps; 1. In the Outfit/Body dropdown box, choose CBBE Body (for example). 2. In the Preset dropdown box, choose a preset shape you want to use. 3. Down in the bottom left corner is a button named Batch Build. Just above it is a file path. Tick the box beside the file path then right click on the file path itself. Make sure CBBE Body (or whatever body you selected in step 1) is selected. The file path should turn blue. 4. Make sure the Build Morphs box is ticked. 5. Click the Batch Build button and let it build everything. You can close out Bodyslide once you get confirmation its done. In game you should now have the CBBE Body you just built in Bodyslide along with all outfits that fit the preset you chose. If it's easier you can join the Bodyslide Discord for one on one help.
