Tovrin
So I've recently restarted playing Elden Ring. However, I've been experiencing 2-3 regular (approximately) 5-second pauses one after hte other and then it's ok for a few minutes. It's frustrating as all hell. It worked fine on my old PC, but that one did not have e-Cores. Having tried out every other solution I can find out there, I thought I'd give modifying the CPU affinity a try ... even if it's just to remove that as another failed solution. So I loaded up Process Lasso. Found out I needed to set the affinity in Steam (which is then inherited by Elden Ring) and that works just fine ... except the game gets a white screen on launch for around 20 seconds and then crashes to the desktop. *sigh* I'm not sure if EAC is interfering. It could be, but I'm sick of trying things out and thought I'd throw it open to the community. Has anyone else had this pausing issue? If so, what was the cause? Has anyone else managed to get Process Lasso (or some other process wrangler) to set CPU affinity with Elden Ring and get it to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Surebuckle71
Hi, I'm going through this exact problem rn. The only way I can play the game without any interruptions is if I disable e-cores in my bios. Otherwise, I experience the same 5 second stutters you're talking about. I tried using process lasso to unassign e-cores from the game but it crashes on startup. I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong either but my only option as of now is to disable e-cores in my bios. See if that works for you.
