TruMaxBlu
I'm trying to make a modpack for my girlfriend and I to do a shared playthrough, and everything works together beautifully besides quest markers. The compass works fine but there is no marker on actual quest objectives. This is my first post on the forums and I'm not quite sure how to export my modlist or anything so here's just links to all the mods we have installed. I've been playing with the StewieAI's tweak list and the MCM to see if it's something I had disabled and I might just be brain dead but it seems like there is nothing there I had done to remove them. The quest markers are still gone even after uninstalling and reinstalling the game without mods, and with full reinstall of both game and mods. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41799 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43135 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/51664 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53635 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56076 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58277 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/59139 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63058 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/65350 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66347 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66927 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/67883 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/73127 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/77320 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/80056 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35998 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42507 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/57174 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42666 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/71336 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/69403 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34707 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55334 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34917 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35369 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/71239 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/87647 I know that there are plenty of people and plenty of mods that remove the quest markers and I'm fairly certain none of these mods do that, at least by default. I'm not sure where to go from here just because there are so few mods or tweaks that add in more markers and things that are visible on object/npc models.
d4em
Check your ini settings, it should have one for quest markers
TruMaxBlu
I'm not sure which ini you're referring to, but FalloutPrefs.ini does have a "bShowQuestMarkers=1" line
TruMaxBlu
Swapped it to 0 just to see what would happen, the compass no longer has markers. Changed it back and the compass markers returned but no regular markers.
TurntLogic
Try switching bHideInvisibleUndiscoveredLocations to 0 in the nvse_stewie_tweaks.ini. 1

It was 0 when I checked this ini file. Set it to 1 and then 0 again and no change. Let me add a screenshot so I can show what I'm talking about too. It's really grainy but this is part of the Powder Gangers quest, where you talk to Sunny about defending Ringo. The compass questmarker and even the iStewie's tweak of adding height indicators works on the compass, but she doesn't have one on her. Going to screw around in the ini files over there and see if there's more.
TurntLogic
I see, does this happen in the vanilla game without any mods installed?

Yeah, even on a fresh install on a different drive there is the working markers on the compass but not the 3d object ones.

Is there any specific ini file I may be missing?
TurntLogic
I reread your post and I think I misunderstood it. Are you talking about 3D markers appearing over stuff like people and objects? That wouldn't be vanilla behavior and would require the JVO mod or its merged collection JAM.
