hcy9743 Posted June 11 Share Posted June 11 Briefly speaking, when I tried to download a collection, there's a pop up "Failed to download collection", and "More" shows that "Network connect was not permitted, please check your firewall settings." Which version of Vortex are you using? 1.11.6 Which game are you modding and which game store did you purchase it from? Hogwarts Legacy and Baldur's Gate 3 from Steam Which mods are you trying to use? https://next.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/collections/uehwil What steps did you take before you encountered the error? Go to the mod page Click ADD TO VORTEX Vortex poped up and the download start "pending". The download failed with the message I stated above What is the specific error message you received? See attach I have already tried following tests to help diagnose the problem: I close all anti-malware and firewalls and make sure Vortex is in the "allow application to go through firewall" list. I tried to open Vortex in Admin mode. I tried to turn on/off VPN. I tried to download normal mods instead of collections (it successes). I tried to download collections from another game Baldur's Gate (it doesn't work). I tried to download collections of smaller size (a 5 MB mod, it doesn't work). By the tests I can only come with a conclusion that my Vortex won't allow me to download collections no matter the size and game. Are you using any browser extensions in addition to your firewall/security programs that may be preventing the downloads? Have you tried opening Nexus using a different browser? Emmm I never use any security-related browser extensions but switching to Edge did solve the problem. RS0371 Posted June 14 Share Posted June 14 I am in China and the Nexumods webpage can be browsed normally, but I am unable to download MODs. This has happened in the past two days, and I was able to download MODs normally before.All the Chinese users I know have encountered this problem. scphsega Posted June 15 Share Posted June 15 Not sure if it's any help. Manual download works, just that downloads remain pending in Vortex app. I'm in Malaysia. Coincidentally, backbone mods for Cyberpunk such as ArchiveXL, Codeware and TweakXL gets updated today, which is how I noticed all the pending download statuses. I welcome the dedicated Asia server, it has been pretty much crawling speed when Vortex was swapping between the three US locations (Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami) as download nodes for my location. Llewellyn159 Posted June 17 Share Posted June 17 (edited) I can log in on Vortex just fine, but mod downloading is not working. I can download mods manually just fine so I think it's Vortex's problem. No automatic Windows firewall prompt after opening Vortex. I'm using win11 and here's what I did: 1. I added C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\Vortex.exe in here and allowed both network types. 2. I added rules in Firewall "Advanced setting" both in and out.
