Hi, when downloading mod i sometimes get a message which i have zero understanding as to what it means. if any person can help, gr8, i have attched screen shot. cheers

Normally this kind of error tells you that the program (or PC) is unable to translate (resolve) the name "api.nexusmods.com" to an IP-address. The translation between name and IP is done by contacting a DNS server.
If a DNS server is slow to respond, and you get a timeout, you can get an error like this.

But, the screenshot is from a program? (Vortex?). There can be any number of reasons why a developer chose to display this errormsg in particular, it bascally tells you that the API endpoint is unreachable.

What does it display if you click on "Show Details"?

"SIGN IN USING ICON IN VORTEX

GO TO TOOLS DOWNLOAD PAGE

DELETE API KEY ON TOOLS DOWNLOAD PAGE AND GET NEW KEYTHIS IS WHAT I DID"
