Lollia
Basically, I created a couple of new voice types for children. I've added the voice types to two custom Formlists which are split by gender and include the new voice types for children plus their default ones. The problem is, the CK is only recognizing the default children's voice types when I tell it to reference the formlist via GetIsVoiceType. Curiously, I DID manage to get it working properly in the Miscellaneous dialogue sector when working on a bit of Shared Dialogue. Using GetIsVoiceType FormList: 0NewChildVoicesFemale as a condition worked perfectly, and both the new voices and the default one for female children showed up correctly and were able to have their dialogue recorded. The minute I moved on to Scenes and Quest Aliases is when things broke down. I've tried the same GetIsVoiceType formlist check, played around with the Additional Valid Voice Types for Export...but nothing works. It either fixates on the default child voices or shows nothing at all. For experiment's sake, I even edited the vanilla formlist for VoicesChild and added all the new voice types to it--and the CK still refuses to recognize the new voice types. Any insight would be much appreciated. - - - - - - - Update: I got it to work! It was a random idea on my part, and I never would have thought it would actually do the trick, but it did! You have to have at least one NPC assigned to the new voice types. If you do not have any NPCs ready to roll out with their new voice sets just yet, or are just working with a dialogue mod that doesn't feature any NPC edits, then I recommend creating a couple of dummy NPCs just for the sake of assigning the voice types to them. They don't have to be placed in-game or have anything fancy, just create 'em and give them your new voice types. After that's done, the Formlists will start acknowledging the existence of the new voices and you can get back to work. - - - - - - - Update 2: Just discovered a bunch of NPCs in the CK made specifically to be the hosts of voice types! This makes me feel like my impulsive idea above was not as crazy as I thought it was at the time.
