When I downloaded the original game files through Steam, *I immediately booted up the Vanilla game through Steam*. There were a few extra files that Steam had to download before the game started for the first time. Those files were essential. After this, I was able to open the game through Vortex no problem.. lynx64 Posted November 8 Author Share Posted November 8 (edited) Finally I managed to reinstall the whole Steam. Then tried to run again FNV via Vortex and... the error message appears again. Then I've disabled 4Gb Patcher, Collision Meshes, NVSR, NVAC and NVTF and tried again. This didn't help. And then I've tried to run the game from Steam after that. And this suddenly helped. So I'm confused even more. Oh and after enabling all the mods again and trying to run the game via Steam makes it freeze and show only black screen. Add.: found the solution.
