Haptic feedback mod

Recommended Posts

So, if you are not familiar with haptic feedback... it is more precise style of vibrations currently supported only with PS5 controller, but it is expected it will be also on next xbox controller. Big chunk of PS5 titles support it, but also some pc games. Mostly ports of PS5 exclusives. It works not by motors vibrating ,but by two speakers playing at low frequency. Witcher 3 NG has it on PS5, but not on pc for some reason. On pc we got only adaptive triggers, which are basically useless, since most of us play with alternative quick casting.

I do not understand reasoning behind not implementing haptic feedback in pc versions of games, that already have it on PS5. Some games support it, some dont. I asked about it some time ago on reddit and somebody mentioned, it might be due to something about steam input issues. But supposedly it was fixed/updated. For anyone interested here is a link:

Maybe it is due to licensing cost or maybe developers just dont bother. Anyway.

Is there some fan of this feature among Witcher 3 modding community, that would be willing to try it? Is it even possible without official code from PS5 version? Maybe now with new tools for modding someone really skilled could try it? I understand not many players on pc care for it, but i would LOVE IT. I recently bought dualsense controller for Ghost of Tsushima and it was awesome.
