canadianjames
I have installed the creation kit through steam into the same directory as fallout 4, and downgraded it to the Pre-NextGen version. and i have launched fallout 4 more than once already. but when I launch it through steam or using the executable the program refuses to launch and i don't what causes this. Edit: I also get an error which references a steaminternal_contextinit. hope this helps if someone knows what's up i would appreciate a solution for my problem. RaidersClamoring
It's the usual -- launching CK as admin usually helps. The fact that Windows still gimp applications by default is unbelievable, but it is what it is. Some other things to try: Make sure paths are properly configured in the CK ini, unblocking app in firewall, set as exception in antivirus, verify files in Steam for both game and editor. SteelPhoenix78
Not sure if anyone's still reading/checking this, but the answer is that you need to downgrade the Creation Kit as well. Instructions for how to do this can be found at this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/comments/1cdfe3j/how_do_you_rollback_the_update_to_fo4s_creation/ If you get some error message when launching the Creation Kit that mentions something about "register flowchart control," go to this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/FalloutCK/comments/1038fe5/register_flowchart_control/
