Asmo1988
Hello all, Long time lover of Baldur's Gate, D&D and everything fantasy and I am still relatively new to modding games to the level that I am. I currently have about 1500 hours on Bg3 after having completed every conceivable ending, played every possible combination on the ethical and moralistic spectrum. But I am looking to play another playthrough as since I took a break, Larian has made significant changes and honestly, its the only game I really want to play that is out at the moment. I recently install A LOT of mods and I finally through a lot of trial and error and reading about modding and spending hours troubleshooting I got the mods I wanted to work. However, recently (over the last couple of days) I do not know which mod is responsible but I noticed that all the origin characters EXCEPT Lazel are different to at least some degree. I will provide photos later, but essentially Karlach's skin is a different tone, Astarion is bald and his chest is sticking over his clothes but the clothes are like directly behind the chest skin, Gale and Wyll are the same as Astarion apart from the bald part. I have ensured that I have the latest Script Extender, I will update any mods that may require updating this evening I have already verified my game files as well. And apart from these series of glitches, the game runs perfectly. I will post photos to show what I mean this evening after I have tried updating the mods to latest versions etc. If that does not work, I will post an update . I suspect it is one of the mods I am using to genderbend the origin characters from male to female while using SBBF and/or Enhanced Bodies. But if anyone has insight based on the information I have already provided, any help would be appreciated. If there is anything I can provide other than the photos I mentioned, please let me know BTW I use Vortex to manage the mods but I manually install some mods as required. Asmo1988
Hello again, Please see the attached photo showing the issue I am having. I cannot include other pics as they are too big but the picture is happen to all male origin characters, while all female characters their skin is a different tone. I am updating mods now to see if that is the issue. If that does not work, I will try disabling all the mods related to changing the male characters gender, if that does not work, I will be all out of ideas. Any help or insight would be appreciated! Asmo1988
UPDATE I have updated all my mods and re-verified game files and the glitch is still happening. I will try disabling the mods that change the genders tomorrow and see if that works. In the meantime, if anyone does have anything to help please do not hesitate to post here I will check intermittedly throughout the day tomorrow. I would really like to get these final mods working so I can begin my actual play through. UPDATE: I disabled the mentioned mods and while the bodies of all the characters are normal, their skin tone is still different. A new glitch has emerged as well when changing the eye colour of Tv during character creation, the game crashes. Specifically, the moment you click "show all eye colours" the game freezes and you have to Alt F4 the game. I will have look at the mod pages re; the gender changing to see if they have fixes for the bugs I am experiencing, I am not sure if it might be because I am using Vortex and not BG3MM but this is frustrating. If anyone has ideas beyond that or ideas regarding the latest glitch, (see above) please do let me know! mynameisexysam
Hi there, im also getting similar issues or the game is crashing :
Asmo1988
I ended up fixing my issue the simplest way possible >.< it was as simple as a damn load order issue. I kept thinking, it couldn't be that simple...it was! Once I put the relevant mods at the bottom all of them worked fine. The game still crashes during Character creation when trying to customize eye color or trying to open any of the "additional coolers" for hair and/or tattoos. I am not sure what might be doing this, it could be the fact I have dozens of eye's, hair color, skin tone color mods and perhaps one or more of these are not compatible. But I have more or less solved my own issue, I will have a look around and maybe limit the eye customization mods to a maximum of 5 and see if limiting the number helps to solve this issue. In response to mynameisexysam I believe you need to make sure that all of the gender changing mods are at the bottom of your mod load order and whatever Appearance Editing Mod you are using (mirror, resculpt etc.) MUST be above all of these mods. Once you have reordered the mods accordingly, I am not sure about BG3MM, but if there is a way to export or reload load order once you have organized it as desired, do that. Once you do that, it should work fine. I am going to consider this matter more or less closed. I will leave this thread open for 24 hours to allow @mynameissexysam to either test then ask follow up questions or to confirm it worked etc. Kind regards, Asmo

Asmo1988
Hi there, I have attached my load order as requested. As I have said, the gender changing based mods need to be at the bottom of your load order and definitely below the Appearance Edit Enhanced mod. If you are experiencing problems after ensuring those two things then the other trouble shooting techniques I have outlined in the original post might be worth looking into. Otherwise, going to the mod's page and reading any and all posts, bug reports etc. would be your next step. I have been learning quite a bit about how these mods work and through trouble shooting I have realized that half the issue is that I skim read the descriptions which if I read them carefully half the troubles I experienced would not happen. I have also figured out for the most part my issue with the eye mod related issues, it just simply takes time for the game to load the very large amount of colours. It works perfectly, its just time (like 5 minutes) for the game to load all the colours. Which I would have known if I read the description much more closely. Consequently, all the mods I wanted are now working perfectly and I should be ready to start my latest play through after some final testing and I will probably get rid of some of the more game breaking mods especially since I have several essentially cheat mods that while fun, takes too much from the game to make it truly enjoyable for me. I am going to close this thread tomorrow to give you time to respond again should you have questions. I hope you figure out your issue with the mods and can get back to enjoying this truly fantastic game Kind regards, Asmo
