kevinforrestconnors
I've been trying to get the right combination of mods to play this game for the first time without features I dislike such as map markers (especially quest markers and undiscovered locations). I can disable the minimap and just never open the map, but certain (most) quests give you 0 information about where to go. I realize this would be a big undertaking since every quest is the game would have to be looked at and the journal text would have to be modified for multiple steps, so I'm not holding my breath for this, but it would be AMAZING. I think they could be modular features to let people mix and match: 1. NoMap Mod: Removes map from the menu entirely. Holding down the menu button, instead of opening the map, opens the quest log. Bonus points if you can choose what opens in mod settings e.g. Inventory or Crafting. 2. No fast travel Mod: Makes it impossible to interact with signposts. 3. No map markers Mod: Removes all markers from the map (or even better, lets you choose which ones to remove). Removes the toggles for visibility from the UI so it doesn't clutter the map screen (change which ones are visible in mod settings). Allows you to remove herb and quest markers which isn't possible in vanilla even with filters. 4. Better Quest Journals Mod: By far the biggest piece of work. I can make the other 3 myself (but there's no point without this) but I can't make this since I haven't played the game before and don't want to spoil content for myself. It would add descriptions on how to proceed with all quests, e.g. "speak to X near the river northeast of Y" Edited July 19 by kevinforrestconnors
vinc1234567
Good luck with that. I recommend FHUD with 3d markers, disabling minimap and most of UI options. Edited July 22 by vinc1234567
