InDarkestNight
Decided to take a break from this stupid Relic Hunter run. Tried Ordinator for the first time in years. First time, back on s#*! edition, it over-leveled me for some reason. This time around decided to follow a build to make sure I didn't screw up my own character. I chose Fudgemuppet's Dragonborn build, because I've heard that one is really fun by multiple people. Unsurprisingly, things didn't go so well. I have no perks in any armor, I'm not allowed to use any enchanted gear, not even an amulet, and I'm a freaking melee character. I didn't think it would be much of a problem, and I even managed to get to the point that I could tank dragons. That didn't last long though. Now, I keep; dying 4 or 5 times in every dungeon. Why? Because I can't take a single hit. If I fail to block even once, I'm dead. Also, for some reason my weapon skill has over leveled again, meaning my other skills are behind, including speech which is supposed to be my main skill! Besides, for some reason dragons are refusing to spawn (and no, Blade in the Dark is NOT active), so I can't unlock any shouts. I've been using freaking frost breath on things just to try and level it. To be fair, at first ordinator looked fun. I like how the new combat mechanics it unlocks through perks. Maybe it was just my shitty build, but who knows? So from now, no more experimental builds. No more trying to find new ways to play. My builds are straight warrior, rogue, and mage. Optionally, the warrior can use restoration and/or conjuration. Maybe destruction if you don't want to go archery. The rogue can use illusion and conjuration. The mage can wear armor. That's it. Those are the only builds that are viable in this game, even if you use a freaking perk overhaul. I was thinking of some weird builds for LotD, because the mod kinda forces that on you (such as being a stealth two-hander). Now, I won't be doing it. So no 'good mage' that does not use conjuration, illusion, or enchanting. No two-handed stealth build. What will I do for LotD now? I don't know. Maybe I'll just play as a straight stealth archer, then use a trainer to level my two-handed so I can get that one item from Falskaar. Fml. So yeah, yet another dead character. I'm so sick of not being able to play beyond level 10 for one reason or another. Either its a stability issue, or my build stalls out before I get anywhere.
