zixi Posted August 12 Share Posted August 12 Agreed - some of the game music can be very 'catchy'. I'm replaying Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 and this time round I've been reminded all over again at how clever the music was for those games. Computing was still very young (BG1 was 1998) and music took up a lot of space so it had to be kept brief so was often looped. Getting it to loop without driving people to distraction was part of the challenge. I've got the 'battle' tune from BG2 (Throne of Bhaal) absolutely fixed in my head at the moment. I recently learned that it was actually added in by the Unofficial Patch, but it served as my introduction to an artist I never would have discovered otherwise.
