Creation Kit Interior Cells Not Linking Correctly (Glitch?) Links to unknown cell

Im begging for help at this point. ANY advice is needed and is very much appreciated. 

 

I have a large mansion build in the creation kit and it spans over two cells. I have the main mansion in one cell, and I have a spa area/torture room in another cell. I ran out of ID's in my mansion thus needing another cell. typical. 

 

Now, I've easily and successfully linked my mansion front door to skyrim-somewhere in Whiterun. 

I have YET to successfully link my interior doors to my spa and torture room. I followed the same easy procedure but things get screwy. Please bear with me while I explain what happens/happened to me. 

When I first linked the doors, I tested it in game. coc "insert cell". 

I walked through the interior door which should lead me to my spa, and I appear in an EMPTY CELL with the sound of BEES (Maybe left over from the apiaries I have in my main house?)

Thing is, BOTH LOAD DOORS for my spa and torture room are in this empty cell. I have no floors so I keep falling and reappearing at the load door I just tried walking through. 

If I decide to load into my spa and exit to my main house, the same thing happens. 

AND HERES THE WEIRDER PART

After I tested this the first time, I went back to creation kit and a THIRD CELL APPEARED in my cell view list. Just my main cell name with duplicate* added to the end. I was confused so I went to delete the duplicate - loaded it to see what was there - and my entire mansion was in the duplicate. But when I want back to the main cell, the only thing there were the two friggin load doors. Nothing else. 

Idk what to do with my life. My problem is niche and I don't know where I went wrong. 

 

Things I've tried:

1. Deleting and redoing doors

2. deleting random empty cell creation kit created/stole

3. watching all the youtube videos - no luck

4. Reading all the forums - no luck

I finally figured out the issue. 

When you save esps apparently they can duplicate, as they did in my game. 

I tried deleting the new duplicate cells but it made things much worse. 

I ran SSEEdit Quick Auto Clean(Tes5edit for special edition) on my esps and it restored the duplicate cells I tried deleting. Which allowed me to properly clean up the duplicates (Delete the doors. rename the files so I don't get them mixed up. You cant delete them because CK wont let you at this point)

I then read on another reddit that someone had a similar issue and fixed it by making the esps masters (ESMs) (lots of easy tutorials out there)

So before I added doors, to avoid the duplicate bug I was facing, I made my esps masters.  

I was then able to cleanly add the doors between my two cells and now they work. 

And now my mods arent making duplicates. 

 

I know this is f*#@y. Not a clean way to do it. I just couldn't find any other fixes. 

 

If anyone out there would give me a better fix, better options, or explain why what I did was a terrible thing, please comment. I am here to learn. Let me have it.
